THE PAST PROGRESSIVE TENSE
We use it to talk about things that were occurring in
the past.
It is formed with WAS – WERE, plus the gerund of the
principal verb.

THE PRESENT PROGRESSIVE TENSE
The present progressive gives the idea that an action
is in progress during the present.
It is formed with AM – IS – ARE plus the GERUND of the principal verb
ING
means (ando-endo).
