The present progressive gives the idea that an action is in progress during the present.

It is formed with AM – IS – ARE  plus the GERUND of the principal verb

ING means (ando-endo).

       SUBJECT              BE             VERB              COMPLEMENT
                                                      ING-FORM

I                                  am                   studying       the  exercise.

Paul                             is                    Deleting          the Data.

The pupils                  are                 Answering     the questions.





For the negative, add not to the verb “BE”(AM – IS – ARE )
For the interrogative, first write the verb be (AM - IS – ARE)    



EXAMPLE


Frank   is   looking  at   the sign.

Mary  is  going to the laboratory.

The printer is not working too slow.

Are you using a webcam in the video conference?

Are the boys deleting the Information?
